Founder's Story

Growing up with dyslexia, reading was nearly impossible in elementary school. As an escape, I found drawing. In particular, I drew pickle characters with my childhood friend. Everyone became a pickle in our world—astronauts, teachers, athletes—each different but equal since they all live in the pickle universe. 

Years later, I discovered pickleball and felt that same magic. A sport where age doesn't matter and beginners play alongside pros, and everyone is encouraged from day one.

The heart of Pickle People is its people-- a community who believes in one another. A healthy community who prioritize health, both mental and physical, and beleive that our differences make us stronger when we come togehter.

What started as a child's escape has become our mission: creating industry-leading gear and equipment that also reminds that every player belongs on the court. Because in our world, we're all Pickle People. Where my Pickle People at?

Our Products

Pickle People provides players with high-quality pickleball streetwear, beginner and advanced paddles, pickleballs in all varieties, and gifts. After playing with and talking to players of all skill sets, we realized that like us, they wanted to choose from clothing and paddles that speak to their style preferences and community values. Pickle People offers this and more. The stylish and comfortable clothing, superb paddles, and enhances a fun game. 

Apparel: Our clothes are all designed and made in America. We work with trusted brands like Comfort Colors and True North, design locally, and embrodier locally to support other small businesses. We will be experimenting with new designs every few months. Limited Releases:  Pickle People will offer limited releases of hats, hoodies, and tees. Intermediate Paddles: We wanted a good beginner paddle for less than $60 that did not feel cheap. These paddles are designed to last because of their manufacturer detail, surface materials, honeycomb core, and comfortable faux leather grip that is water and sweat resistant. 

Advanced Paddles: After playing for longer and consulting pros, we designed paddles with  T-700 carbon fiber surfaces that especially compliments people from backgrounds. The stroke and touch that is not as suitable for Pickleball can be hard to COMPLETELY unlearn. The Pickle People Pro gives players with tennis backgrounds more comfort and control. 

Pickleballs: After consulting with expert players and sampling balls from multiple manufacturers, we are confident they perform as well, and in some cases better than the big name pickleball brands on the market.
